DOUGLAS CLARK HOLLMANN



Doug is a graduate of Duke University (B.A.) and Columbia Law School in New York City. A former Assistant District Attorney in New York and federal prosecutor in the United States Department of Justice, he has tried cases in state and federal courts in New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia, West Virginia, Michigan, Florida, Oklahoma, and California.  He is a member of the New York, Maryland, and District of Columbia bars, and has argued cases before the Maryland Court of Appeals and the Federal Courts of Appeal for both the Third Circuit, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Fourth Circuit, located in Richmond, Virginia.  He is also a member of the United States Supreme Court, the United States Tax Court, and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Maryland.

Doug has been a resident of Annapolis, Maryland, since 1978, and has extensive experience in litigation, real estate transactions, estate planning probate, and corporate/commercial matters.  

Doug is a former member of the Peace Corps and worked for two years in Istanbul, Turkey, and learned Turkish.  He also speaks French and represents a number of people and concerns based in France, Germany and Switzerland.

Doug is an avid sailor and private pilot. He built a 56-foot sailboat and lived on it for three years. The picture at the top of this page is Doug's Avid Mark IV seaplane.  Doug finished and test-flew it in the Fall of 1998.  He flies off the Severn River in Annapolis, Maryland.  A Hanriot HD.2 on floats (the first US Navy fighter based in Dunkirk, France, during the First World War) is his next project.
